Qicai began in 1995 as a colour printing workshop in Guangzhou and grew the slow way — press by press, binder by binder — into a factory that keeps every step of bookmaking inside its own walls. Prepress, printing, sewing, casing, finishing and export packing happen within one building, checked by people who answer to the same name on the gate.
That is a deliberate choice. Books fail at the hand-offs: between the printer and the bindery, the bindery and the packer. Removing the hand-offs is most of what quality means, and it is why publishers who try us once tend to stay.
Today our books ship to 55+ countries — trade publishers in Europe and North America, ministries and schools across Africa and the Middle East, and independent sellers everywhere between.
